[edit] License tagging for Image:AMGOTH cover.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:AMGOTH cover.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 09:04, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

I suspect that still isn't adequate to stop fully describe the copyright situation. Its not strictly speaking the cove of 2000 AD - its the image that was used as the basis for the cover [1] - this puts it in a different category - something I learned with the FutureQuake cover. You have to usually supply a link to the source (if its online) but the version there is bigger than the one on his MySpace page [2] and I can't find it on his hompeage so I'd guess he has supplied you with the image to use (or you are him) in which case you can use the "withpermission" tag - if you go to the edit page of the FQ cover you can lift the tags straight from there. Hope that helps - its a great image and I'd like to see it kept in but unless everything is crystal clear on the copyright front then someone might make a move to remove it (if you aren't sure about the copyright situation then feel free to message me the details and I'll come up with some ideas and/or directly add the bits need to clarify things) (Emperor 01:26, 18 August 2006 (UTC))
