[edit] Guido von List Translation

The Großes Höllental (English: greater valley of Hell) is an area of the Höllental ("valley of Hell") of the Zugspitze.

Hurax, here are the pages. 19 (highlighted with a red box, I also think this mentinos the Rax?) (German wikipedia article) - this is page 19 of the book Der Wiederentdecker Uralter Arischer Weisheit and this page 523 is page 523 of the book Deutsch-Mythologische Landschaftsbilder. Please can you translate these for me please? I GREATLY appreciate your help on this. Also, in the second book, their is a chapter called 'Das Höllental' which is referred to I think in the second link above (523)? (Siehe Seite 469 ?) A few weeks ago you kindly "found the solution to your riddle here: [1] Ask if you need a translation. To put it short, the Großes Höllental is a small valley leading to the Rax, in Lower Austria in the easternmost end of the Alps, and has nothing to do with the Höllental which leads up to the Zugspitze. - so, if the second link does mention the Rax then this is what it is? I would like to get this perfect. If this is correct then it should be added to the list on the German article section called Einige Wanderungen und Steige Robert C Prenic 18:25, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Red Box: "Once, the alpine majesties nearly kept the brave wanderer with them. During the descent from the Gaisloch (Rax) Guido v. List fell on the 8. May 1871. A mass of ice loosened beneath his feet and threw him into the depths. He was only saved because a cone of fresh snow harbored him. In rememberance of his rescue from mortal danger Guido v. List made a chain path (not sure how to translate that) be constucted, which was called "Guido-List-Steig" after him. "

  1. 2: Picture 73. Cf. page 469. Panorama of the Großes Höllental. On the place marked with "X", the author fell on may 8, 1871 and let a chain path be constructed out of his own expense, which was opened on June 21, 1871, under the name "Guido-List-Steig".

That's all.--Hurax 18:52, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

yes, suf.at. translation coming soon, sorry but i had no time in the last days. --Hurax 10:34, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Gaislochsteig (Loswand): At first the Gaislochsteig was only secured by a steel rope erected by the ÖTK (donated by Mr. Türcke). The construction of the Steig (path/via ferrata) we owe to Mr. Guido List, who, on 8. May 1876 fell during a definitely perilous ascent attempt, past the rocks by a vertical altitude of more than 20m, without being hurt seriously. In thankful rememberance of that lucky fall he let the most dangerous places be secured with brackets and chains, out of his own expense. On the 28. 29. and 30. November 1870 [sic] 8 lumberjacks erected 300kg of chains across a length of 48 meters. Even earlier the Gaislochsteig was allegedly equipped with chains on the order of Archduke Johann. The wall, netted with water, is however subject to a constand process of destruction which repeatedly makes fortifies paths inaccessible by tearing out single strands of rock. A commemorative plaque remembers Franz Podgorski and Rudolf Stölzle who fell out of the walls of the Wilder Gaislochsteig in 1892. --Hurax 11:13, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:DIEsCHWARZEsONNEwEWELSBURG.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:DIEsCHWARZEsONNEwEWELSBURG.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. [edit] Freya Aswynn

Robert,

Since you seem to have the most invested in the Freya Aswynn entry I'm writing to appeal to you to shape up the entry. As it stands it really should be nominated for deletion. It looks like all the information is coming directly from her site, which whether true or not is self promotion and not acceptable. Also, it seems that her real name is something like "Elizabeth Hooy-schuur", or at least so it is stated in the following article [2]. See also in the responses to this piece, below the article, that supposedly Freya uses a different spelling of this same name. Anyway, my point with all of that is that if she has a legal name then both should be mentioned. You could follow the protocol used for Edred Thorsson/Stephen Flowers. That is to say, Edred links to Flowers where the actual entry is. Either way, you need to specify that Freya Aswynn is a pseudonym if it is one. That's at least a start. If no materials other than those provided by her are available, the entry should be very specific about this as well. Freya claims ... etc. I hope that helps and I hope you can salvage the entry. Best.PelleSmith 23:43, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

I see you have no interest in this even though you created the page. I intend on nominating it for deletion. Have a good one.PelleSmith 02:07, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:EnglishArmanen.JPG

I noticed you included EnglishArmanen.JPG on several pages, including Unicursal hexagram (see [3]). However, it doesn't seem that the image has been uploaded. Do you know where the image can be found? — Elembis (talk) 05:34, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Need Your Articles

Hello. I am an Odinist (in the Odin Brotherhood, Asatru Folk Assembly, and some other groups), I am re-starting the pagan.wiki. Wikipedia has become rather petrified, and I would like to make this branch wiki as comprehensive as possible.

I am interested in all your pagan articles--in particular the ones that have been deleted by vandals. Thanks!--Tsmollet 22:47, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Freya Aswynn

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Freya Aswynn, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria.

You were the only user that I could imagine may want to improve the entry, but you did not even respond to my message of over a week ago so perhaps you are not interested in improving the entry perhaps it cannot be improved. Thanks.PelleSmith 02:40, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
