[edit] The Robinson Projection

How did Robinson come up with the idea about this amazing projection?

Bold textThe Robinson projection is the size of the world

[edit] Dardan Meha deserves the credit as well as Robinson

Dardan Meha deserves the credit too, he is the greatest iventor in the world. Do you know that he helped Robinson come up with the idea of the Robinson Projection? But Robinson didn't tell anybody how helpfull Dardan Meha was. If it wasn't for Dardan Meha then Robinson wold have never come up with this projection. Thanks to research we have found out that he was an apprentice that helped Robinson come up with this idea.

[edit] What kind of interpolation?

Did Robinson ever specify what interpolation formula should be used? The article doesn't seem to address the question. The obvious linear interpolation is tempting, but it would cause the edge of the map to be polygonal.... -- Smjg 15:48, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Math

Does anyone know the math that is involved in making a Robinson projection map? I'm looking to use it for a map, but I can't find any explanations... 87.196.55.187 13:18, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
