Talk:Robinson, Illinois
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I know you all love to post Calli Cox as a famous person from Robinson, IL but it is not appropriate. For those of you who are immature enough to continue to add her to the article, please spell her real name correctly. That way at least the information is correct until the next time I can come by and remove it.
Who ever posted the above - "Wikipedia is not Censored" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Wikipedia_is_not_censored
Calli Cox is a famous person from Robinson and so thus should be included on the page.
Actually, my stance is that she is not famous and therefor does not need to be included under famous people from Robinson, IL. It has nothing to do with censorship.
She is famous, various well selling works, plenty of press (much of it from the U of Indiana work) She is as famous as the Heath family in the eyes of todays public. Stop censoring.
Again, stop removing Calli Cox from Famous Residents. Your original post on this page indicates a moral objection to her listing, so your later claim of lack of fame is not slanted. Also, by looking up your IP, your likely a Robinson resident and so should therefore avoid making editorial judgments about the pages content. Continued editing of the page on this topic will necessitate the attention of a administrator.
Yep, I am from Robinson. In fact, I rode the school bus with "Calli Cox" all through school. I still see her around town at times. My original post has nothing to do with about her being an adult film actress. By me saying "those of you who are inmature" doesn't mean anything about being in a business intended for mature individuals. The fact is she is not famous. She's not even in the business anymore. You can look at current and former adult film stars hometown articles and barely find mention of any of them. If she is famous, Mike Rusczyk spent time in Robinson, IL. He's a professional skateboarder sponsored by Foundation. Is he listed here? No. Is he considered famous? No. The Heath candy bar is popular around the country and has been around nearly 100 years currently being manufactured by Hershey (and still made in Robinson, IL). How can you argue that the man behind the Heath bar is no more famous than a former adult film actress because "the eyes of todays public".
Your to close to the subject to be objectively making edits.
I don't see the logic there.
Stop making edits to this page. You are not objective, your biased by your personal relationships, your biased by living in the town.
Frankly, I haven't made an edit to the page for quite some time. Maybe other people don't quite fancy her as a famous resident either?
