[edit] Voting restrictions

Where the article says "...under legal restrictions which made it nearly impossible for black citizens to qualify to vote..." it would be really helpful to readers (and to myself...) if a link was put in which allowed the reader to know what these legal restrictions were (as well as how and why they made it nearly impossbile..to qualify to vote. This is important background for people to know. I'm hoping someone else can add that in, someone who would know the best wikipedia entries AND external site link for background on this) --Harel 17:30, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
