Talk:Robert Gow

[edit] Neutrality Disputed

I dispute the neutrality of this article. There seems to be a snide, biased attitude when discussing business investments of Mr. Gow. If there is some question to the honesty or trustworthiness of some of his investment decisions, it should be stated that some find his motives to be less than honorary, or something to that effect. Pgrases such as "kept a straight face" are hardly unbiased. But, that's just me.

Addressed NPOV objection. Removed "straight face" phrase; attributed to original quote in WSJ. Please remove {NPOV} tag.

[edit] Use of [sic]

What is the rationale for using [sic] in this quote?

In 1973 Gow’s company entered into what the Wall Street Journal on Aug 29, 1973 reported as a: "unique joint [sic] venture" with the Jamaican Government, “to grow floricultural crops in Jamaica.”

"Unique joint venture" seems like a perfectly proper thing to say. —LoganCale (talk | contribs) 23:43, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
