one day, about three months ago, home ill from work - flipping through channels, i came across an odd little movie called "where it's at". the title stank - but david janssen was in it and watching the beginning, an actor i'd never seen before caught my attention and never let go - robert drivas. he stole every scene. long straight hair hanging in his face which he constantly brushed aaway - the most intense eyes. he appeared quite gay - and most engaging. brenda vaccaro was cast opposite him. most of the movie was ridiculous but somehow he gave his character dignity. I have found some limited info on him - he died of aids in 1986 - but i search the channels with old tv shows featuring him. came across him again, in a bonanza episode, and he was the highlight of that show.
