Robotman & Friends

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Robotman & Friends is a fully animated children's cartoon which was aired around 1984, and is a 3 episode special. These very cute, colourful, and entertaining episodes are about 3 user-friendly robots named Robotman, Stellar, and Oops who are from Robotland, who need love (specifically human love) to survive. A person just has to touch the hearts on their chests and their energy comes flooding back, which usually results in them flying around, having fun, helping people, and singing/playing their cute little songs. If they don't have human love, they will get weak and power down, and will be vulnerable to Roberon, an evil robot who wants to destroy all the love in the world and all the robots from Robotland.

Roberon is evil. He hates music, and he especially hates love. However, he does play a flute, but he uses it to hypnotize people to make them hate the robots so they will run out of love. Roberon also has a little helper, or sidekick if you will, named Sound-Off, who pretends to be good and kind at first to gain the robots' trust, but then he tricks them in the end.

The robots have a non-robot friend named Lint who looks like a big puff ball with eyes, shorts and shoes. He can't speak, but he does everything he can to help, and to keep Robotman, Stellar, and Oops safe from danger. Thomas Cooper and his nephew Michael are the 2 new human friends they meet in the first episode. Uncle Thomas Cooper (or "Kookie Cooper" as the other kids, Michael's age, would call him) invented a robot dog for them as a pet!
