[edit] Episode recap
Garfield and Odie walk over to Garfield’s favorite buffet restaurant, Sid’s. Sid tries to barricade the door to keep Garfield from entering the restaurant, but Garfield gets in anyway and begins to eat all the food. While Odie waits outside the restaurant, a mad scientist (Dr. Bean) scoops him up.
Dr. Bean takes Odie into his laboratory and puts him into a chamber that in turn produces several duplicates of robotic dogs, which then roam out of the lab while Odie is placed into a cage. Garfield comes out of the restaurant then and mistakes one of the robots for Odie, whom he takes home. Garfield tries to kick the robot off the table, but he hurts his paw due to the robot’s outer casing. He then tries to get the robot to fetch a ball, and he becomes confused when it simply extends its neck to retrieve the ball.
Jon also mistakes the robot for Odie and feeds it some water. The water causes the robot to short out, which make Jon and Garfield realize that it isn’t Odie. Jon then asks Garfield to show him where he and Odie went earlier, and he leads Jon to the neighborhood near Sid’s Restaurant. Garfield then hears Odie howling from Dr. Bean’s lab, and he leads Jon over to the building. Garfield finds the real Odie amidst all the robots; meanwhile, Dr. Bean comments to Jon about Odie’s intelligence. Odie then begins chasing his tail, and all the robots follow suit. Dr. Bean then laments over not installing a brain in any of the robots.
Jon takes Garfield and Odie over to Sid’s, but Sid tells him that Garfield cannot come in, much to Garfield’s chagrin. Sid has no problem with Odie going into the restaurant until all of the robot duplicates come in as well.
