Robin Hood and the Beggar, I is Child ballad 133.

Robin Hood and a beggar meet. The beggar begs and is refused; Robin offers to fight him, and is worsted. They exchange clothing. Robin goes to Nottingham as a beggar. He hears three men are sentenced to hang for poaching the king's deer. He begs from the sheriff their lives. The sheriff refuses. Robin blows his horn, summoning his men. They rescue the three with great slaughter and return to the green wood.
