Robin De Groot

Robin De Groot (born July 1) is a multi talented Canadian designer famous for both his design creations and his big laugh and personality. Robin is the lead designer on the television program Restaurant Makeover as well as the featured designer for numerous television programs including Grow TV, CH Morning Live and other television and radio programs. Robin's designs have been featured in numerous magazines and Robin was the Design Director for the Home Depot magazine Style Ideas published in both Canada and in the United States. Robin's designs on Restaurant Makeover have been the most challenging to date, including the Minolta Tower in Niagara Falls, the Ossawippi Train in Orillia and the Babelfish Bistro in Guelph. Some of Robin's other more famous projects have included being a featured designer for the Designer Showhouse 2004, being a guest speaker for the Princess Margaret Hospital Fundraising Garden Tours and of course his national Design Lecture series at numerous Home Shows across Canada. Robin is also noted for his historic preservation work throughout Canada. Robin has worked with numerous community organizations in an attempt to garner more awareness for the architectural history of Canada and the preservation of its historic homes and landmarks.
