Robin Cowan

Robin Cowan is a former Canadian pairs figure skater. With partner Sherri Baier, he won the World Junior Championships in 1976, its inaugural year, and then went on to win the Canadian national championships in 1978.

After his skating career, Robin Cowan obtained a Master's degree in Philosophy and a PhD in Economics from Stanford University. Currently he is a full professor at UNU-MERIT at Maastricht University and the United Nations University (Maastricht, the Netherlands), and at BETA at the Université Louis Pasteur (Strasbourg, France). His academic interests include network economics and economics of technical change.
