Robin Ammerlaan

Robin Ammerlaan (born February 26, 1968 in Den Haag) is a professional world number one singles and doubles wheelchair tennis player who comes from the Netherlands. Ammerlaan won the 2007 Australian Open wheelchair singles tournament after beating France's Frederic Cattaneo 6-1, 6-0. He also won the doubles, partnering Shingo Kunieda of Japan. Ammerlaan is also champion of many other grand slam titles since 2000. The righthander's favorite serface is carpet, and he is coached by Gert Bolk. His wheelchair is manufactured by Invacare. Ammerlaan currently resides in Soest, the Netherlands.
