Robertson Memorial Field House

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Robertson Memorial Field House is a multi-purpose arena on the Bradley University campus in Peoria, Illinois. The arena is built inside two airplane hangars, and is unique in that it has a raised floor for the sports court or event stage. The arena opened in 1949 and at its height held 7,003 people. It was home to the Bradley University men's basketball team, whose winning record there was 400-100 before they moved to Carver Arena in 1982. Currently, the women's basketball and volleyball teams host their home games at the arena. The Fieldhouse was named in honor of A.J. Robertson longtime Bradley basketball coach and athletic director.

It hosted the Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball tournament title game in 1980.
