Roberts Bank Superport
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Roberts Bank Superport, also commonly referred to as Deltaport, is a port terminal facility located in Tsawwassen, British Columbia. It is an integral part of the Port of Vancouver. Like the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal just to the southeast, it is built at the end of a long causeway over a shallow bank. Created as a port on the West Coast for the export of coal brought in by CN Rail in the early 1960's, a container facility was added in 1997 and it is now one of the busiest import/export ports in North America and a major hub for container trucking companies.
