Roberto Carlos Palacios Mestas (born December 28, 1972) is a Peruvian soccer midfielder from the district of Chorrillos in Lima, the capital of Peru.
He is nicknamed "El Chorrillano", and has played for several teams, e.g. Sporting Cristal (Peru), Puebla (Mexico), Cruzeiro (Brasil), Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (Mexico), Monarcas Morelia (Mexico), Deportivo Cali (Colombia) and Liga Deportiva Universitaria from Quito in Ecuador. Palacios had a long run with the Peru national football team that resulted in an amazing 117 caps and 19 goals for his country.
