Robert Symonds (born December 1, 1926) is an American actor. His motion picture credits include The Exorcist (as Dr. Taney), The Ice Pirates, Crimewave, Rumpelstiltskin, Still Frame, Mandroid, Primary Colors and Catch Me If You Can.
He had a recurring role in Dynasty and also guest starred in The Rockford Files, M*A*S*H, Benson, Cheers, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (as a Bajoran in the episode "Accession"), ER and Alias.
Symonds was born in Bistow, Alaska. He has been married to actress Priscilla Pointer since 1980 and is the step-father of David Irving, Amy Irving and Katie Irving.
