Robert Schuman University

The Université Robert Schuman, also known as Strasbourg III or URS, is a university in Strasbourg, Alsace, France. As of 2004, there were approximately 9,000 students enrolled at the university, including more than 1,500 foreign students. The university tends to teach and research in fields such as law, politics and international relations. This university also includes two grande écoles, the Institut d'études politiques de Strasbourg, second in excellence after the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and the Institut Européen d'Etudes Commerciales Supérieures de Strasbourg (IECS), which is one of the leading French business schools. The Université Robert Schuman is named after the politician Robert Schuman, not to be confused with composer Robert Schumann.
