Robert Priddy (born 1936) is the British author of the book Source of the Dream - My Way to Sathya Sai Baba, a book about the Indian guru Sathya Sai Baba. Priddy wrote many articles from 1988 to 1998, in Sanathana Sarathi, the official magazine of the Sathya Sai Organization[1].
He researched and taught philosophy and sociology at the University of Oslo 1968–1985. While at the University of Oslo, Priddy translated an academic paper by Hjalmar Hegge from the original Norwegian.[2]
In 2000, after resigning as an official in the Sathya Sai Organisation[3], Priddy wrote End of the Dream: The Sathya Sai Baba Enigma (published in India by Basava Premanand), a work critical of Sathya Sai Baba. He maintains critical websites[4] on Sathya Sai Baba, and occasionally contributes to Indymedia releases.[5]
Priddy is now retired.
