Robert Pine

Robert Pine (b. Granville Whitelaw Pine on July 10, 1941 in Scarsdale, New York) is an American actor who has starred on television and in film. He is probably best known for his role as Sgt. Joseph Getraer on the hit NBC television series CHiPs from 1977 to 1983. Robert also starred on the soap operas Days of Our Lives as Walker Coleman in 1987 and on The Bold and the Beautiful as Stephen Logan in 1988, 1994, 1996, 1997, 2000, and 2001. He also starred in the 2001 science fiction TV series Black Scorpion as Major Worth.

Robert has co-starred in films too. He appeared in Independence Day (1996) as the President's Chief of Staff, Red Eye (2005) as a grumpy hotel guest, Empire of the Ants (1977), and his first film, Gunpoint (1966).

Robert has made guest appearances in many TV shows, some of those shows include Gunsmoke, Barnaby Jones, Lou Grant, Knight Rider, Magnum P.I. as Thomas' father in a flashback episode, Star Trek Voyager (as an Akritirian Ambassador named Liria in the season 3 episode The Chute) and Six Feet Under.

Robert Pine reprised his role as Joe Getraer in the 1998 TNT TV movie CHiPs '99. His character was now the CHP commissioner.

Robert is married to actress Gwynne Gilford. She made a couple of appearances on CHiPs as the wife of Sgt. Joe Getraer. They have a son named Chris Pine and a daughter named Katie Pine, who are also actors.
