According to a health care industry analyst who has followed the work of Dr. Robert Kershner: Dr. Kershner is a proven, market-focused, voice-of-the-consumer medical business and profit-driven leader who also happens to be a Physician Scientist, Medical Doctor, Surgeon, Professor of Ophthalmology, Consultant and a widely published Journalist and expert with ophthalmic, pharmaceutical and medical device industry experience. Fyodorov of the Intersectoral Research and Technology Complex in Moscow, Russia, the Japanese Society for Cataract Research, the Japan Intraocular Lens Implant Society, awarded the Gold Medal from the Indian Intraocular Implant and Refractive Society, the Maharshtra Ophthalmic Society, the Bombay Ophthalmologist’s Association and was awarded the IK HO Visiting Professorship of Ophthalmology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Kershner was under consideration by the Bush Administration for the position of Surgeon General of the United States in 2001.
