Robert L. Robinson, Jr. was born in New York City in 1961 and currently lives outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.


Recently Robinson has written a short story featuring the original version of Judex with Tarzan for Black Coat Press's Tales of the Shadowmen, to be published in early 2007 and a feature length screenplay of an update of the character Judex.

He has founded, raised capital, built and sold several companies, including most recently Supply Marketing, Inc., a company that creates media campaigns within physician offices. Supply Marketing was the Ben Franklin Award winner in 2003 of Most Innovative New Company. Supply Marketing was sold to Devon Health is 2005. Before SMI, in 1999 he created Xportical, Inc., - a company focused on wireless content deployment and emerging technologies. This was sold in 2001 to D4 Creative Group. In 1999, he founded B2Bcast.com, a business streaming company that he sold to Singapore-based Business To Business Broadcasting, Inc., later that year.

While serving as an Assistant Manager at Egghead Software, he founded Emerald City Enterprises, Inc., with his then manager,Jay Wallace, to license and merchandize the Barnes Foundation World Tour. He designed and implemented a merchandizing program that set sales records in museum shop sales internationally. After being awarded the worldwide license to produce limited edition prints of the art collection, ECE expanded by distributing the art in museum shops, galleries, auction companies, and home television through QVC. This lead to 100% sales of product with zero remaining inventories. Robinson also co-founded and provided funding for Tocon, a fitness entertainment company that produced Jam with Pam, a leading selling children fitness video in 1995 that he and Wallace produced featuring children's fitness expert, Pam Staver.

Robinson sat on the Board of Directors of the Entrepreneurs Forum of Greater Philadelphia from 1996-2002, having served as president from 2000-2001. He also served on the board of directors for the American Red Cross (2000-2002), Pennsylvania Chapter; Pennsylvania Private Investors Group (1997-2000), Haverford Soccer Association (2002 - 2005); and the Recordings for the Blind and Dyslectic-Philadelphia Branch (1997-2002). In 2001, he was appointed a Pennsylvania Business Ambassador by then Governor Thomas Ridge, and in 2002 was elected to the Boy Scouts Cradle of Liberty Board, chairing the finance committee on Learning for Life. He served as Chairman for Silicon Philly, a publication and supporting organization dedicated to promoting business in the Philadelphia region. He currently serves on two boards: Upper Darby Youth Soccer Association, where he is the new president, and the ballet company, International Ballet Classique. Since 1998, he has coached youth soccer, taking the Silver Team in Haverford Soccer Intramural Program to a 4 year record of 28-2-2, and since 2005, Coaching the UDYSA Archangels Boy Travel Team, first in the U12 Delco to a 4-2-2 record in the first year, and third place in their division, and in 2006 again with coaching partners Peter Oraschwesky and Tony Romeo; has taught Sunday school at Our Mother of Good Counsel in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania with John Powell since 1998, receiving the Saint John Neuman award for distinguished service. Since 2001, he has coached youth basketball for Drexel Hill Raiders, mainly with Pat McCoyd, and has for the last four years been selected to coach the tournament teams in two different age groups.

He is often quoted and interviewed in various media regarding business and marketing issues and has been featured in articles in publications including: a cover story in 1995 Business Philadelphia 100 people to watch, House of Business, Philly Tech Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News. He has advised companies and individuals such as Dun & Bradstreet, Cigna, Pat Croce, Cornerstone Management, Crusader Bank, Founders Bank, The Scullin Group, Eric Lindros, Rob Brind A’More and others on marketing and brand development.
