Robert L. Moran

Mr. Robert Lee Moran (1897-1967), whose name was later changed at Confirmation to Robert Leo Moran, first acquired prominence as the Executive Vice President and Treasurer of the E. Kahn's Sons Co. - his employer of forty-two years. There he acted as the intellectual and financial engine room amongst a milieu of aspiring butchers. Under his direction the company met with great success and extraordinary wealth allowing many individuals and families to evade the economic hardships of the Great Depression.
In 1966, the Sara Lee Corporation acquired the E. Kahn's Sons Company, making it the firm's first meat company in its growing food and beverage conglomerate.
