Robert Johnson (born June 20, 1980 in Montgomery, Alabama) is an American football player who currently plays tight end for the New Orleans Saints of the NFL. Johnson played collegiately at Auburn, before signing as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears in 2003. He left the Bears to join the Washington Redskins with whom he spent only one season before being released in August 2006.[1] Johnson subsequently signed with the New Orleans Saints organization.
