Robert Collinson

Robert Whiteley Collinson was a first class cricketer who played 2 matches for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 1897.

A right handed batsman, he scored 58 runs in total with a best of 34 against Gloucestershire for an average of 19.33. His other match was against Somerset.

He was born on November 6, 1875 in Moss Side, Halifax and died, aged 88, on Boxing Day, 1963 in Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich.

He played in 2 non first class matches for Yorkshire against Durham in 1896, scoring a fine 82 at Feethams Cricket Ground, Darlington in August. He played for Norfolk in the minor counties in 1910 and 1911.
