Robert Boscawen

Robert Thomas Boscawen (born 17 March 1923) is a British Conservative politician. He was a Member of Parliament for 22 years. He was MP for Wells for 13 years from 1970 to 1983, before moving to the new constituency of Somerton and Frome, which he held for 9 years from 1983 to 1992. He served as a government whip from 1981, and was Comptroller of the Royal Household from 1988 to 1989. He became a member of the Privy Council in 1992, in the same year that he retired.
