Robert Bodrog

Robert Bodrog is a Canadian photographer, known primarily for his celebrity portrait work.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, August 20, 1966, Bodrog studied philosophy and political science and did graduate work at Harvard University where he received a master’s degree, before studying photography at York University in Toronto under the renowned Canadian photographer Michael Semak.

After completing his M.F.A. degree, Bodrog spent two years in Japan teaching photography and doing freelance assignments. He also worked on Japanese director Amon Miyamoto’s critically acclaimed 1998 film “Beat”.

After returning to Canada, Bodrog did work for a variety of clients, including the Toronto International Film Festival, where he photographed numerous celebrities, including Sofia Coppola, David Lynch, David Mamet, Julianne Moore, Liv Tyler, Norman Jewison, Ralph Fiennes, Tori Amos, Brett Easton Ellis and Irvine Welsh among others. His work has been published in Canada, France and Japan.
