Robbie Paul

Robbie Paul (born February 2, 1976 in Tokoroa, New Zealand) is a rugby league player for the New Zealand national team and the Huddersfield Giants club in England. His position of choice is at scrum-half. He is the younger brother of Harlequins Rugby League player Henry Paul. He joined Bradford in July 1994 from New Zealand at the age of 18 and has since gone on to represent his country. His outstanding ability was underlined in his 1996 Challenge Cup final display against St Helens, where he scored three tries winning the "Lance Todd Trophy" as Man of the Match. He captained the Bulls to the ‘Treble’ in 2003 and skippered the Bulls to victory against Australian side Penrith in the 2004 World Club Challenge. In between the 2005 and 2006 Super League seasons (Super League X and XI), he moved from Bradford Bulls to fellow West Yorkshire side Huddersfield Giants. His Bradford Bulls testimonial was played on 27th January 2006 against Hull Kingston Rovers at Odsal Stadium.
He appeared in his sixth Challenge Cup Final on Saturday 26 August 2006. Despite scoring a second half try, Huddersfield Giants lost 42-12 to St Helens at Twickenham.
