[edit] Synopsis
Years earlier, Randy and Earl met Woody when they broke into his apartment to use his air-conditioning. When Randy and Earl realized that Woody was a complete stoner, they decided to rob him blind without him even knowing. Nowadays, Woody is number 26 on Earl’s list, “Robbed a Stoner Blind”.
Earl and Randy tracked Woody down at a hippie commune where he was building a house out of cow dung. Woody had smoked so much weed, most of his brain cells were gone. He couldn’t even recall ever meeting Randy or Earl.
In order for Earl to cross Randy off his list, Woody said they could help around the hippie commune for a week. Though they were reluctant, the both agreed to do so. Both were finding it hard to get used to the new environmental friendly lifestyle they were forced to live while on the commune.
After collapsing from hunger, Randy bumped his head and was given some herbal remedy for his injury. Randy began to eat some of the potent herbal medication that was meant for his skin. The herbal remedy caused psychotropic on Randy brain and he suddenly began seeing everything in claymation.
Earl was trying to convince Joy and Darnell the benefits of green living. Joy thought it was a waste of time to try to save the environment. Meanwhile, Joy kept snapping at Randy because he couldn’t help staring at her chest; however, this is due to hallucinogenic side effects.
Earl set out to make the world a better place, but he noticed everybody else was canceling out his efforts. He even tried to save a tree and got ridiculed for it. Earl decided he would make people change their ways, if they wanted to or not.
While waiting for Earl, Randy was enjoying watching Catalina dance around the lving room. He was still seeing everything in claymation, which made the experience surreal. Meanwhile, Earl was flipping out because he felt that with everything good he was doing, the world was set on canceling out his efforts.
A frustrated Earl let Woody know how he was feeling. Woody assured Earl that if he helped out with the environment for only five minutes a day, he would feel better about himself. And at the end, that’s what was most important. Meanwhile, Randy was relieved to be seeing everything normal again.

[edit] Trivia
- In order to make up for the lack of a television set, some members of the commune interpret the 1995 Friends episode The One with the Evil Orthodontist for Earl and Randy on a theatre stage. However, their performance has little to do with the actual episode and only reiterates several of the show's running gags.
- The outdoor scenes of the hippie village were filmed at Camp JCA Shalom in Malibu, California.
- The character of Woody is based on actor and naturalist Woody Harrelson.
- A feature of this episode is the stop-motion animation. In colaboration with Jargon Entertainment, Greg Garcia and Marc Buckland conceived a way to interpret Randy's hallucinations through claymation. Garcia and producers had toyed with the idea of having stop-motion animation in the first season; however production constraints didn't allow it.(Studio Daily)
