Has played the piano since he was nine.

1958 Rob heard ”Trio Oscar Peterson’’. This inspired him to start playing jazz.

1963-1967 Study at the Royal Conservatory The Hague, diploma piano soloist

1964-1977 Cabaret Pepijn with Paul van Vliet, artistic leader.

Performances Combo Paul van Vliet.During the seventies: session musician in radio orchestras.

1979 appointed to teach the piano (jazz and light music, combo classes, rhythm section-classes) at the Rotterdam Conservatory and the Royal Conservatory The Hague.Visiting professor in Dworp (Belgium), Helsinki (Finland), Boston (USA), Liechtenstein.
