Rob "Coach" Fulton became the first person ever to win $1,000,000 on any Australian television show on 17 October 2005. He won the top prize on Australia's version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire on Channel Nine, hosted by Eddie McGuire. He was the 601st contestant and was on the 270th and 271st episode of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

He is nicknamed "Coach" because of the similarity between his name and that of former Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles Rugby League coach Bob Fulton.

On a recent episode of the United States Millionaire, an early question was "Rob Fulton, a resident of Sydney, was the first Million Dollar winner on what country's version of Millionaire?" The contestant didn't hesitate and got the answer correct.
