Rob Dyrdek

Rob Dyrdek was born on June 28, 1974, in Kettering, Ohio. He earned his title as a professional skateboarder in 1991 at the age of 16. He currently skates for DC Shoes, Alien Workshop Skateboards, Silver Trucks, and Reflex Bearings. He also became sponsored by Spy Optics and Red Bull. He also is an amateur rally-racer. He competed in the 2005 Gumball 3000 Rally driving a Subaru WRX STi sponsored by DC Shoes.[1] He currently resides in Hollywood, California.
In November 2006, Dyrdek and his bodyguard, Chris Boykin (commonly known as Big Black), star in a reality show on MTV called "Rob and Big", for which he is also an executive producer. Adding to the cast is Meaty (Rob's bulldog), Drama (Rob's cousin), and Bam Bam (Big Black's friend). Rob & Big has been picked up for another season which is currently in production.
Dyrdek also has a line of skateboarding-related products, including a skateboarding/athletic shoe from DC Shoes, called "The Dyrdek1." He also helped build the Dyrdek/DC Shoe skate park in Kettering, Ohio. Rob also helped build a private indoor skate park called the TF, or Training Facility in San Diego, California. Rob Dyrdek can be seen in the fan version video for the Fort Minor song Remember The Name.
