He graduated in 1992 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He one of only three Shippensburg University alumni to play in the NFL.[1]

Davis was signed undrafted by the New York Jets, but failed to make the team's roster. In 1995 Davis played in the CFL with the Baltimore Stallions. He was the team's starting long snapper. In 1996 Davis was waived by the Kansas City Chiefs, but he was cut before the season started. The Chicago Bears would sign him that year and Davis played all 16 games as a long snapper. In 1997 the Green Bay Packers signed Rob Davis as a free agent. He would start the last seven games of the season, as well as the playoffs and Super Bowl XXXII. Davis remains with the Green Bay Packers as of the 2006 NFL Season. He is one of three current Packer players who played in Super Bowl XXXII, the other two being William Henderson and Brett Favre. He is also one of three Player Representatives for the NFLPA currently on the Packers roster.[2]
