Hi Roan Art, welcome to WikiProject Aquarium Fishes. I'm glad we finally got a rainbowfish expert like you. Rainbowfish is pretty much underdeveloped compared to most other groups. So, feel free to create new species articles or expand the few existing ones and let us know if you need help. Also, you might want to help with the rainbowfish section in this List of freshwater aquarium fish species. And here's our latest newsletter. Cheers.

- Pufferfish has been retitled as Tetraodontidae. See discussion here.
- Various goldfish pictures have been deleted due to copyrights issues. This left many goldfish articles with no pictures at all. See Celestial Eye, Pompom (goldfish), Ranchu, Ryukin, Veiltail.
- User:Melanochromis is attempting to organize uncategorized uploaded pictures (excluding pictures from wikicommons as those are already categorized in wikicommons). If you see uncategorized pictures, please add appropriate categories such as Category:Fish images, Category:Cypriniformes images, Category:Barb images, Category:Perciformes images, Category:Cichlid images, Category:Gourami images, Category:Tetraodontiformes images
- Articles recently created: Celestichthys margaritatus (Microrasbora sp. 'Galaxy'), Nimbochromis polystigma, Cuckoo catfish, Metriaclima, Thick-Lipped Gourami, Colisa

[edit] Fishes
There is a new proposal on naming conventions for fish being discussed at WikiProject Fishes. As a member of a project whose naming conventions would be affected (WikiProject Aquarium Fishes), your feedback would be appreciated at the WikiProject Fishes talk page here. - Discussions
- Our parent wikiproject, the WikiProject Fishes, is having an important discussion about the policy of "Titles of fish species articles". This policy covers the selection of scientific and common names as article titles. It will have a significant impact on a large number of fish articles. See or join the discussion here. Related to this discussion is the title change of the article Mayan cichlid to Cichlasoma urophthalmus.
- Aquarium, a featured article since 2005, has been proposed for a review which may lead to the article being de-featured. See the proposal and discuss here. Discuss how to improve the article here.
