RoamDrive is like Gmail Drive but without the 10 MB file size limit. It allows larger than 10 MB file uploads by breaking large files into 10 MB pieces, however if a file is large it is rounded to the next 10 MB chunk, thus making another draft attached email. It can allow uploading of Zips with EXE, and single EXE files, even allowing them to be sent (though for the receiver it will take an extra second for Gmail to virus scan). It also supports Hotmail accounts. The freeware version is supported by advertisements within the RoamDrive console.

  • The team at RoamDrive released a new version of RoamDrive on April 11, 2006. It is still Public Beta 2 but with the removal of advertisements (so it now works with Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2) as well as added support for the latest Gmail login changes.
  • RoamDrive now supports Windows Live Mail after an update released. You can now make use of Windows Live Mail's 1.95 GB just as you would with Gmail's storage space.
