[edit] Archeopteryx

Probably a simple thing, but. I replaced the Berlin fossil picture, and another Wikipedian arranged that and the Munich image, so that now there is a column of white space below the Berlin image that pushes the Munich image and text to the left. I do not see what does this, so have not tried to fix it. --Dumarest 11:58, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup taskforce desk

Hi. All's fine. I have my last exam in two weeks time, so I will be around more often then, and so my work will get done soon enough. Thanks for the offer. While I am here, do you know how to make a link to an ISBN for a book when doing references? Ta Heweyeweyeweyeweyeweyewey... The Duke of Copyeditting, Bow before me! You can't control me! I'm a P. Are you interested in working on the article about the guitarist Kevin_Cadogan? RJFJR 17:35, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Yeah I'll take that on in the next couple of days. C i d 20:59, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Sorted it - let me know if you think it needs further attention. C i d 12:25, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] n00b

Thanks for the welcome. How do I change the position of userboxes? Please answer on my talkpage. Thanks in advance. Smokizzy 20:51, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

On the right and/or in groups. Smokizzy 20:51, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Apparently userboxes can be formatted using either HTML tables or wiki-markup infoboxes. I'm not very experienced at this. My recommendation is look at the user pages of people who are experienced, until you find one leyout in a way you like and then copy it. Or you can try the village pump technical section. I'm sorry I can't be of more assistance. RJFJR 15:47, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Not really. I'm pretty inactive over here at the moment. Sorry. Computerjoe's talk 17:21, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup Taskforce

Hi, and thanks for stopping by to give me a new assignment. I would like to have dwarfism as a task. Thanks, and let me know. I'm pretty busy at the moment, but I feel like having a challenge. bibliomaniac15 Review? 06:45, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

I'm not an expert, so please get some comments on the talk page, without them I can't do much about it. --Mgm|(talk) 08:51, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup Taskforce - Think Fast - Johann Gutenburg

Can you tell me the status of Johann Gutenberg which is on your desk? Thank you. RJFJR 04:00, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

I have had this on my desk for about 9 months now, I guess. When I was assigned it I looked at it and set it aside and I completely forgot about it. I'm really sorry. Now there don't seem to be any formatting problems. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Otherwise I think I will remove it from my desk. --Think Fast 20:08, 12 November 2006 (UTC) talk

Thanks, you can remove Allan Pineda Lindo from my desk. bibliomaniac15 Review? 00:40, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Frederick Douglass

Thanks for the notice; I would be happy to help improve this article. I've taken a look at it, and it will probably take me a few days to start the process of rewriting the article, sourcing it along the way, but I'll do my best. Thanks again! Flcelloguy (A note?) 02:13, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bluestone

I've made a few odd edits, and I'm thinking that the greatest problem is sourcing this article. A Google web search turns up little information. The sentence pattern is still isn't too fluent. I tried to increase it using a new section, but it's still sort of chopping. I put it on my watchlist, but it still needs some work. bibliomaniac15 22:16, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Swami Ramdev

Thanks for the help. At one point the article looked nice, then came the barrage of linkspam, copyvio, and other issues. I hope you'll stay and help out.01:19, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Misael Pastrana Borrero

Cool. I took a look at it and this should be no problem. Natalie 04:04, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Well, someone beat me to it. Oh well. The cleanup got done. Natalie 15:48, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
There are no sources listed at all in the pre-stub version, except a source for his date of death, which isn't that helpful. I may have some time tomorrow to look on the internet for sources, but I suspect that there isn't that much about a Colombian president from the 70s. Sigh. Natalie 17:26, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
How's your Portuguese or Spanish? A google search for his name shows no English sites excepts Wikipedia mirrors. I can attempt to translate some of the Spanish info, but I learned Castilian Spanish and my abilities with Colombian dialect are nil. Natalie 02:22, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Best described as poor, bad or non-existent. Seems odd that there is nothing in English on the President of a substantial country. Thank you for looking. RJFJR 19:47, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My AFD's

I'm not quite sure what happened with my listings on the AFD page. I use the automatic afd tool which should do it all for me... Maybe I should do it manually in future. Thanks for the heads up.-Localzuk(talk) 18:14, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup Taskforce: Allan Pineda Lindo

I would be happy to work on this article, and accept the assignment. Due to a busy schedule, it may be a slow process, but nonetheless I will attempt to cleanup the article. Gronkmeister 04:32, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Salt the Earth

I put a link to Salting the earth inline with the comment. There is a reference to this in The Simpsons, where Homer steals flowers out of Ned Flanders' garden. "But did you have to salt the earth so nothing would ever grow again?" "Heh... yeah!". Tubezone 07:16, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Help with disambiguation

Hi I've turned to you for help as you were first to put a message on my talk page. (Thanks). There is a page about Aiki which is about a film. I would expect a page about Aiki to be about the martial arts principle, so would like to disambiguate 'Aiki'. I went to the wikipedia page about diambiguation policy but left baffled. Help! Womble bee 17:14, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

I apologise for not replying sooner, as I have been away from the keyboard for a while. I have started to write an aiki (martial arts principle) article, which I hope to upload today. Womble bee 09:08, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

I have created an article aiki (martial arts principle). I suggest that this is changed to aiki and that the current aiki page is changed to aiki (film). Aiki used to redirect to Aikido, so i suggest that a disambiguation page is created which lists aiki, aiki (film) aikido, aiki-ken and aikijujutsu. Womble bee 10:19, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Help with Mos

Since you were the one to leave me the WP welcome message, I guess I'll ask you: there is a bunch of articles on "municipalities in Pontevedra" (see list), most of which are about a year old and contain a single line of text and an infobox, and haven't been significantly edited since their creation. Now I got to these articles when searching for Mos, which seems a bit strange when it would, in my opinion, be better to have this page redirect to the dab at MOS. I'm not sure what to do in this situation, should these articles perhaps be AfD'ed? I hope you can help. -Shai-kun 19:16, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

If the municipalities have governments (as opposed to neighborhoods which may not be well defined) I would oppose deletion at AFD. Cities, towns, etc. are one of the few things I consider inherently notable (but only if they have well defined boundaries and have a municipal government). Most places in the United States were loaded from census data, our coverage of the rest of the world is not as comprehensive. The articles you mention are marked as stubs and I hope someone wih interest in places in Spain will eventually expand them. (If they are not significant I would be willing to change my opinion on keep, but I'd need something showing they aren't notable).
Note that MOS and Mos go to different articles (it's based on capitalization of non first characters). Mos is considered a place name, MOS in considered an acronym (wiktionary would say initialism). MOS is a disambiguation page for the abbreviation. Mos has a link to MOS for those who arrive at the wrogn article. I have no trouble with the current state but see WP:BOLD and feel free to discuss it on talk pages (I don't know how many people would respond). RJFJR 14:24, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] SilQ WEBSTER

Hi RJFJR,

While patrolling for vandalism I stumbled across this page that appears to be an almost entirely nonsensical promotion. I tagged it for speedy deletion, but the editor deleted my tag. Perhaps the article could be salvaged, but I think it needs serious work (if it even deserves it). I'm leaving a note on your talk page because you helped me out a while ago with a similar issue. Just wanted to let an admin know so I wouldn't have to keep putting the tag up for someone to see it.

Mgummess 00:23, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Someone already deleted it under CSD A7. RJFJR 14:04, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Curly horse

Thanks for pointing that out. I actually had documented the permission over a year ago [1], but it was later removed by an anon[2]. I've replaced it and updated it to refer to the OTRS ticket as well. Glad you caught that! Shell babelfish 00:04, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

I caught your assignment of this article, and while I'm not sure I'll be able to bring it up to a point where the cleanup tag can be removed (I don't even trust my own judgement, even if at the end I did an exceptional editing job, I'd still want an outside opinion), I think I can improve it at least a little (maybe even a bit, or a lot). Do I have a time limit? If I don't get to it in the next week or two, will that be okay? This is actually my first assignment, so I'd love to hear your feedback (especially after I try cleaning it up). Xaxafrad 20:35, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

Not a rush. It's purely voluntary (and I don't want to admit how long some articles have been sitting on my desk). RJFJR 20:37, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Building 12

A tag has been placed on Building 12, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain web site, blog, forum, or other community of web users that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:Building 12. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. [edit] Hello again

Hell RJ. First off, I've done some work on the Arabic and Pali pages. I wish I could spend more time on them, though I've found myself short of wiki-time for all of the things I want to do here. Outside of CT work, I thought you'd be interested in this article. There's a relatively new wikipedian actively working on it and they'd like some pointers. Because you are one of the best copyeditors in the encyclopedia, I thought you could throw in some advice. Could you lend them a hand? The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 03:07, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] With permission

First, you have to be sure that they mean to release it under the GFDL or into the public domain (if it is text) or under one of the several allowable licenses (if it is an image) -- "permission to use" is not enough, and if they really mean to release it, they need to say so. There are some example request letters to help explain to people what is meant by that at Wikipedia:Example requests for permission. After that, they should comment on the talk page that they release it, and also send an email to permissions@wikimedia.org. Cheers, Kat Walsh (spill your mind?) 02:16, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] League of Copyeditors

Dear Cleanup Taskforce member,

I noticed that you've listed yourself as a member who's interested in copy-editing. I'm a member of the League of Copyeditors, a project dedicated to managing the sizable backlog of articles needing a copy-edit. We're always looking for new members, and you'd make a great addition to the project! We've started a participation drive for the remainder of February. If you're interested, you can help clear the backlog by adopting the following goals each week:

Thanks, and happy editing! BuddingJournalist 07:38, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] A barnstar for you.

The Original Barnstar
In gratitude for your work on the Park Golf page, I, in my minimal authority here on Wikipedia, would like to present you with this Barnstar. Thank you for aiding in fixing the page and making it so that reading it doesn't make my eyes bleed anymore. Banpei 08:38, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
P.S. I'm not entirely sure where I should have posted this, so feel free to move it as you so see fit. Banpei 08:38, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of historical Camden County, New Jersey municipalities

I'd work on cleaning up List of historical Camden County, New Jersey municipalities but I don't understand what it's trying to say. If it's a tree then what does it mean if an entry is a child of another entry? (Also, what is the source for the data?) RJFJR 16:05, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
