The Riviera Theatre is a venue located in Chicago, Illinois on North Racine Avenue on the North side of town.
The theatre is located in a "historic district" and its design, both internal and external, certainly is anachronistic. At times the inside of the theatre can seem like a 20th century carnival scene. Furthermore, dilapidated couches and crown molding impose a prestigious but slightly unnerving impression on the average concert attendee. The "Riv" as some of the more familiar patrons refer to it features many new artists from Chicago, the United States, and even abroad.
