Riviera Beach is a census-designated place and a neighborhood within Pasadena, Maryland in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. The population was 12,695 at the 2000 census.

Riviera Beach is located at 39°9′43″N, 76°31′5″W (39.162008, -76.517982)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 8.4 km² (3.3 mi²). 6.9 km² (2.7 mi²) of it is land and 1.5 km² (0.6 mi²) of it (18.10%) is water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 12,695 people, 4,780 households, and 3,484 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,835.8/km² (4,759.8/mi²). There were 4,950 housing units at an average density of 715.8/km² (1,855.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.12% White, 2.16% African American, 0.30% Native American, 1.03% Asian, 0.12% Pacific Islander, 0.38% from other races, and 0.89% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.38% of the population.

There were 4,780 households out of which 35.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.5% were married couples living together, 11.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.1% were non-families. 20.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.65 and the average family size was 3.06.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 25.6% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 35.0% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 11.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 95.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.1 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $58,150, and the median income for a family was $60,657. Males had a median income of $40,907 versus $30,429 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $23,982. About 2.4% of families and 3.8% of the population were below the poverty line, including 3.3% of those under age 18 and 4.7% of those age 65 or over.
