Riverside High School is a public school in the suburban community of Greer, South Carolina.
The school, which serves grades 9-12, is a part of Greenville County School District.
The school opened in the fall of 1973 with 650 students on a 65 acre campus in a rural area near the town of Greer. Riverside boasts many services to offer students and the surrounding community.
In Fall 2006, students began attending a brand new building on the same premises. As an official green building, it is one of the most energy efficient and environmentally-friendly high schools in the nation.
The student body has grown to a population of 1,358 drawn from feeder schools Riverside Middle and Northwood Middle. It's rival school is Eastside High School.
Four men have served as principal: John Durr, Wayne Rhodes, Charles Bayne, and, currently, Andrew Crowley.
