Riverside Health System

Riverside Health System is an eastern Virginia health care system. Its medical centers are located in Tappahannock, VA, Gloucester, VA, and its main facility is in Newport News, VA. It also has many family medical centers throughout the Hampton Roads region. Riverside has the only Peninsula area designated Trauma center located at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Its competitor, Sentara Health System, has a Trauma center for the southside at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Riverside is currently in a "fight" with Sentara regarding the building of a new hospital in Williamsburg, VA. Sentara already has a hospital located just outside of Williamsburg. Riverside also has its own version of Sentara's NightinGale: Riverside LiveEVac.
