Riverside Girls High School is a public school located in Sydney, NSW, Australia. It was founded in 1934, celebrating its 70th Anniversary in 2004

Riverside is divided into two groupings. The Junior section consists of the 7th to the 10th grades. The Senior section consists of 11th and 12th grade classes.

Riverside Girls High School has remarkable waterfront views and is located in a highly sought-after discrict. The school lives on its motto: "Deeds not Words" and its excellence in academic and sporting achievements reflect on this.

The school has excelled in many broad and varied subjects and having turned from a Domestic Science School, to the High School it is now, Riverside Girls High School has achieved much acclaim.

Riverside aims to promote the public education system through the high standard of the school. Its achievements are comparable to that of any private or selective school within the state and the school has been known for its strong stance on the issue of public education.

Riverside participates in sport against other schools in the Sydney North West Zone.

  • Debating in which Riverside has a strong tradition of coming close to being eligible to continue on to the second round of the Intermediate (Years 9 and 10) NSW Premier's Debating Challenge. For the last two years (2005 and 2006) North Sydney Boys has taken out the title to the dismay of the senior team.

  • Concert Bands the concert bands (junior band and senior band) are entered into competitions every year such as Macdonalds festival. The school hires in an outside band conductor, Karen Colledge, to conduct the bands.

  • Canoe training day, juniors are taught the art of acquiring and manning the fibro vessels in the Schools river side location.
