The Riverfront Times (also known as the RFT) is a popular alternative newsweekly in St. Louis, Missouri. The paper was founded in 1977 and has an audited weekly circulation of over 100,000. It is widely distributed at bars and restaurants around the St. Louis area. Critics have accused the paper of an extreme liberal bias in its news coverage.[citation needed] This paper is published by Michael Wagner. The RFT includes news reports; reviews of film, theater and music; a personals section; and a weekly column by Dan Savage.
