Riverdale Garden

The Riverdale Garden is a seasonally based restaurant located near Van Cortlandt Park in Riverdale, New York. [1] The chef and owner of The Riverdale Garden is Michael Sherman who is also involved in the catering business, Moxie Events. It opened in December of 2003 and was a highly anticipated restaurant, given Sherman's 4 star experiences with Chefs Gray Kunz, Charlie Palmer and David Bouley, among others. The restaurant features Sherman's dedication to seasonal cuisine that extends to the restaurant's atmosphere, including a flower and herb garden and a wood burning stove.

The dining room has 20 tables and is decorated with wood beams and brick. There is also a private dining room for up to 35.

In 2005, it was named one of only two restaurants in the Bronx to be mentioned in the Michelin Guide.

Other accomplishments include a 24 food rating in Zagat, 3 Stars in Crains, "Very Good" - New York Times, Top 100 restaurant in NYC - Time Out Magazine.....the list goes on. See website for more information, including pictures of the restaurant and it's food.
