[edit] River use

The Barle may be canoed or kayaked, and has good (low-to-intermediate) whitewater conditions. Under current access restrictions, those wishing to paddle the river must enter at or below the Tarr Steps and must exit the river by the Exe confluence at Exebridge. Previously, the river had been paddled from Withypool.
