Hello, everyone.

My name is Rickard (or the more anglificated "Ritchie") and I live in the cold North, the ultima thule, Odin's backyard, more frequently known as "Sweden". I live in the small town of Hässleholm, which is in the south of the country, so the thermometer usually doesn't drop below -20 Celsius degrees.

My interests are music (especially irish folk music, hard rock, heavy metal, power metal, folk metal, black metal, romantic music, baroque music and renaissance music), archery, history, computers and watching sports, such as football and rugby. My favourite rugby team is the Otago Highlanders from New Zealand. When it comes to football, I am a fan of the Ukrainian club Шахтeр Донецьк and the Czech Republic's national team.

I also play the guitar (both electric and acoustic), recorder (alto and soprano) and flute. The recorder and flute I play in a folk music ensemble called "Låtlaget". Occassionally, I also do some "growling" (vocal style common in the black and death metal genres. My musical influences include guitarists Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple and Rainbow, Sead Lipovača of Divlje Jagode, Keith Fay of Cruachan, flautist Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull and Tielman Susato, the renaissance composer.

I go to school at Hässleholms Tekniska Skola (translated "The Technical School of Hässleholm"), where I study at the "International program". After finishing grammar school, I plan to go on studying at some university or journalist school. Or why not the University of Otago? Then I could go to Carisbrook every weekend to see the Highlanders bash the shit out of teams like the Crusaders or Blues... But it's only a dream, I know.
