[edit] Why I created the page

I wrote this article because I heard that Miss Ritsuko Okazaki had passed away only now. I love her music and i think this article is approprate, seen how many fans she has, and the fact that there is also a Japanese Wikipedia page about her. --Beoran 21:15, 2004 Sep 29 (UTC)

Certainly, but what about soundtracks? For example, the 12人のエンディング cd with 12 tracks from Sister Princess: RePure is quite a prize to have, one of my most musical cds ever. Since all of the tracks are hers, shouldn't it be included in her discography? fbjon ^^ 4649
Yes, the soundtracks should be added. Please feel free to add any confirmed works of Miss Okazaki to the discography. You will need to look up the year of publication. It might be nessecary to mention that it is a soundtrack, and what it is a soundtrack for.--Beoran 21:47, 2004 Nov 22 (UTC)

[edit] NPOV and references

The biography section sufferes from serious point of view issues that need to be removed in order for this article to meet the neutral POV guidelines established by Wikipedia. References need to be provided for some of the claims, as well. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 22:53, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

  • Since edits by others after your tagging have done little, I've requested that it should be translated from the non-NPOV offending ja: article... Ranma9617 04:50, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
  • I've changed the tag, as the problem with this article seems to be weasel words. Most of the biography section consists of unadorned statements of fact. The only two parts which have a point-of-view problem seem to be the following.
From 2001 to 2004, the duo had great success with several singles.

According to many of her fans, Okazaki's songs were characterised by poetic imagery, depth of emotion, gentle optimism and simplicity. Her voice was considered to be of a particularly remarkable litheness and subtlety. For these reasons, some describe her as an "angelic singer."

Citing sources for these quotations would solve the problem. The Japanese article hasn't been tagged, but it isn't much different from the English article in this respect, so translating it is unlikely to help. -- Grgcox 18:01, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
