Rita Chatterton (In ring name: "Rita Marie") is a former referee who is noted for her stint in World Wrestling Entertainment in the 1980's. She is known for being the very first ever woman's referee in the WWE, and in professional wrestling history. However, her times there were shrouded in controversy, due to sexual harassment charges against the owner of the WWE, Vince McMahon.

Rita filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Vince McMahon in 1992, during the time of the infamous steroid trials. She claimed that Vince forced her into a limo and demanded that she perform oral sex on him. Her persistence in saying "no", she has said in the past, cost her her job. The charges were later settled out of court.
