Talk:Rise of Sweden as a Great Power
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm sorry but the article about Charles IX is very unclear and also poorly written. I would change things but I don't know the history or understand what the author is trying to say. SOrry to be negative but this really needs to be cleaned up.
I totally agree, it's rambling style is more then a little confusing. This is linked from the front page!

I hope you guys don't mind but I put the bodies of text into paragraphs for easier reading.
[edit] Fall of Sweden as a Great Power
I couldn't really think of a better place to put this, but is there anyone else that thinks that an article explaining the fall of sweden as a great power would be nice to have? --HJV 02:02, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
I might check into it. It seems rather complicated though and the historians seems a bit unclear on what the main cause is. Many claim that the fall of the Swedish "empire" started when Karl XII (Karl den Tolfte) got shot over in Norway.
- I would have thought it started well before that. Poltava would be rather notable in this regard, for instance. john k 17:09, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
