Riposto is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, located about 170 km east of Palermo and about 25 km northeast of Catania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 14,619 and an area of 12.9 km².^[1]

The municipality of Riposto contains the frazione (subdivision) Torre Archirafi - Quartirello - Carrubba - Altarello - Archi - Praiola.
