Riot of 1968

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Riots of 1968 signified a time of strife in the American government. They influenced consumer politics for the years to come, and the worst part is that people know nothing of them.

The Riots of 1968 all started when one protester got shot by an unknown

man. The protester was protesting a recent change to outlaw the eating of fast food in restaurants. The man was a fast food chain owner and was outraged at the addition of this new rule. He was holding up a sign that said "Save our cheap food."

It is said that the man shooting him was a government agent. The ensuing events brought our nation back a couple of centuries. A full scale riot was organized to stop the new law and avenge the death of this freedom fighter. The army was brought in to stop the riot. They thought that they were shooting non-lethal shots but it turns out that they were shooting lethal doses of bullets. As the crowd was being showered by bullets, a brave man pulled out a self propelled missile and shot it at the army, killing hundreds.

The death toll was of more than five thousand, and its repercussions will be felt throughout the world. There is no bloodier conflict between people and government in US history, and the sad thing is that no one knew about it, shows how much our government is really telling us.
